Marko Slocer graduated from „Djura Danicic“ Elementary School in 2009 with excellent grades. The same year he enrolled at Secondary School of Economics “Svetozar Miletic” in Novi Sad and graduated in 2013. In October 2013 he began his studies at Faculty of Economics at University of Novi Sad. His program is focused on International and Domestic Trade. During this time he was engaged in projects and researches associated to global marketing and communication, brand management in Serbian retail stores etc.

Since September 2015 he is an active volunteer in Center for Social Work where he helps children (age 7-18) with homework in Mathematics, English and German and organises and conducts different kind of workshops for children.

Last summer he was a participant in AIESEC India’s Global Community Development Program in Chandigarh, India. The program was focused on creating impact in the host environment, working with NGO’s, schools and charities on issues like cultural education, health and lifestyle, community development and corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

He was also an intern at “Kompas Tourism&Travel” Travel agency in accounting department during his secondary school internship where he gained experience in international documentation and cash flows, as well in contracting with foreign partners.

Speaks maternal Serbian, excellent English, good German and basic Hungarian. Computer literate and trained for work in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

His main interests are related to sustainable development, social and economic policy, economic inequality, etc.

As an intern at CESCI Balkans I expect to learn a lot about economic cooperation between countries, cross-border integration and to be included in projects and research programs related to economic policy and decision making processes.
