Ms. Marija MILENKOVIĆ

Function: Coordinator of Working Group for Environmental Protection

Ms. Marija Milenkovic is a researcher at Institute for Territorial Economic Development (InTER), Belgrade, with a good portfolio in policy analysis, cross-border cooperation, territorial competitiveness, project cycle management and similar issues. Marija graduated with a bachelor degree in Operational management at Faculty of organizational sciences in Belgrade, 2013 (Thesis: “Brand driven innovation model”) and has MSc degree in Project management and investment,2015 (MSc Thesis:”Specifics of risk management in innovation projects”). As a student, she participated in organization of SPIN’11 and SPIN'13 (Meeting of entrepreneurs and scientists, Belgrade), as well as in many actions as a member of EcoFON (student organization for environmental protection), various trainings in Project Cycle Management, seminars and conferences. Also, she voluntereed in many sports events (EuroBelgrade, BIG), ecological actions (Let’s clean Serbia, Save the planet initiative within Belgrade Science Fair), Book Fair 2015, etc.  In 2014, she was a part of the international cultural exchange programme Work and Travel USA, where she spent 5 months in North Dakota and improved her networking and communication skills, English language, met people from different cultures, etc. Marija has a good portfolio working with youths from northern Kosovo municipalities (Leposavic, Zvecan, Mitrovica North and Zubin Potok), where she was in charge in performing several researches which included carrying out interviews, with an aim to identify their needs. She also had a role in organization of different events attractive for youth (International summer camps on Gazivode lake, Mountain race Gazivode lake-Mokra Gora mountain, EXIT festival adventure, Adventure race Gazivode-Mokra Gora).

During her engagement in InTER, she carried out the research “Tourism Development in Ibarski Kolasin region” in March 2015, published in October 2015.  Ms. Milenkovic was a part of the CBC project “Sustainable Cross-Border Development of Foča and Plužine Municipalities”, funded within the scheme of EU IPA CBC BiH-MNE Programme, as a Project manager assistant where she was engaged in providing inputs for experts necessary for development of Integrated Rural Development Strategy for Foca and Pluzine.

Marija is native in Serbian and speaks fluent English, with basic knowing of Russian.
