Central European Service for Cross-Border Initiatives Balkans at ADRURAL Project Kick-off Meeting in Corfu
On November 14-15, 2024, the Central European Service for Cross-Border Initiatives Balkans (CESCI Balkans) participated in the inaugural Kick-off meeting of the ADRURAL project in Corfu, Greece. Hosted by the Regional Union of Municipalities of the Ionian Islands, the event set the groundwork for the project’s implementation, outlining key objectives, work plans, and partner roles.
About ADRURAL
Part of the Interreg IPA ADRION program, ADRURAL aims to enhance the quality of life in rural communities across the Adriatic-Ionian region. Through innovative smart solutions and transnational cooperation, the project supports women, youth, and vulnerable groups, addressing social challenges in rural areas.
The initiative includes knowledge exchange, pilot projects, digital networks, sustainable strategies, and long-term impact planning.
Project Scope and Partners
With a budget of €1.76 million and a duration of 36 months (September 2024 – August 2027), ADRURAL unites partners from Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Italy.
This collaboration highlights the power of innovation and cross-border cooperation in fostering rural development.
