Roundtable on the Development of the Legal Framework for EGTC Membership in Serbia Held in Subotica
An expert roundtable titled “Development of the Legal Framework for Serbia’s Membership in EGTC Structures” was held on 22 October 2025 at the City Hall of Subotica. The event was organized within the framework of the AEBR b-solutions initiative, in cooperation with CESCI and the Banat–Triplex Confinium EGTC.
The aim of the event was to discuss the legal and institutional conditions currently limiting the participation of Serbian municipalities and institutions in EGTC structures, as well as to identify possible pathways for improvement in order to support more effective European integration.
The event was honoured by the participation and addresses of Kiss-Parciu Péter, Deputy State Secretary for Regional and Cross-Border Economic Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, and Predrag Rajić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government of the Republic of Serbia.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all partners and participants for their contribution and support, in particular the City of Subotica, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, NALED, AEBR Balkans, the Nišava Euroregion, as well as the Pannon EGTC and BTC EGTC teams, whose cooperation ensured the successful implementation of the event and strengthened the professional dialogue on this important topic.
