In 2015, the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) and the Central European Service for Cross-Border Initiatives (CESCI) opened their Balkans office with a view to facilitating inclusive cross-border cooperation and good neighbourly relations between the Balkan peoples and, therefore, contributing to mutual trust and peace building, disseminating European best practices of CBC and models of cooperation meeting European standards.

Over the 5 years the two branches of the two associations has done a great job in the fields of capacity building, awareness raising, knowledge sharing, project development, policy shaping, networking, etc.

It is now time to make a balance and look ahead. For this purpose, in cooperation with AEBR Balkans ,we organize an international online conference celebrating the 5^th anniversary with a special focus on cross-border functional developments with the involvement of well-known experts of the topic where hereby we kindly invite you.
