Analyses and planning of Western Balkans cross-border cooperation

Regional cooperation is a principle of the highest importance for the political stability, the security and economic development of the western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo. The analysis is aiming at identifying the most crucial variables promoting or hindering CBC in specific context. The methodology that will be implemented is designed to enable the assessment and weighting of the different factors intervening in the achievement of effective CBC. The resulting data will allows for international and intra-national comparison but, most importantly, will offer the opportunity to design effective strategies to improve context-specific situations with reference to CBC patterns.

Overall objective is to contribute to a fuller understanding of CBC process on the Western Balkans borders
